Nominations to close for 2010 Touch, Cycling and Swimming programs (25-Feb-10)
Program nominations for the Inland Technology Tennis squad, Tamworth Services Club Touch Squad, Metroll Tamworth Cycling squad and the Calala Inn Swimming squads will close on the 28th February 2010. All program information, eligibility and benefits offered can be obtained on the NIAS web site www.nias.org.au Online applications can also be completed on the site.
This Sunday will see the Carlos IGA/Armidale City Bowling Club Netball Squad and the Armidale SportsPower Rugby Squad train at Farrer High School in Tamworth. The 2 squads will interact with respective coaches and look to develop skills that cross over in each of their sports. Lunch on the day will be supported by Subway Tamworth. Some mid NIAS season “Country Energy fitness testing” will be conducted to see how the Squads have improved from their initial testing done at the start of their scholarships in November 2009.

Armidale City Bowling Club Football Girls will train at Sport UNE once again under the new guidance of Steve Doherty and Brett Campbell who have come on board to replace Rob Clarke who returns to Tasmania after resigning from Northern NSW Football and also as NIAS head coach. Both Steve and Brett come well credentialed and will look to build on the solid foundations that Rob and Kelly Archibald have built up with the girls at training camps and sessions over the last 3 months.
