Tamworth to host NSW Regional Sporting Academy CEOs for the first time
Esteemed CEOs from the nine independent NSW Regional Academies of Sport (RAS) have arrived in Tamworth, marking the first time the collective has visited Tamworth.
nnnnThe Northern Inland Academy of Sport (one of the RAS) CEO Shona Eichorn said the academy is looking forward to welcoming them to our region.
nnnnu201cIt is exciting and an absolute honour to host the CEOs from our nine NSW Regional Academies of Sport, introduce them to our region, and showcase our operations and facilities,u201d Mrs Eichorn said.
nnnnu201cFor two intensive days the CEOs, including myself, will take part in professional development, learning and training as well as the opportunity to collaborate on future sporting projects which will benefit talented athletes and coaches across the state u2013 resulting in a win-win for our various regions.
nnnnu201cThere will be presenters speaking on various topics and the Annual General Meeting all held at the superb facilities of NIAS Major Sponsor, Wests Entertainment Group.u201d
nnnnIn attendance will also be RAS Chair Brett Ou2019Farrell, who is also CEO of the Hunter Academy of Sport.
nnnnNIAS is a community-based organisation dedicated to identifying regional talent and preparing talented sportspeople within the region to reach their maximum potential, on and off the field.
nnnnNIAS Sporting Programs expose athletes to the commitment and expectations required at the next level in the sportu2019s pathway, while providing the opportunities, pathways and access for regional athletes to thrive and transition to higher levels of competition and performance.
nnnnThrough NIAS, athletes have access to development programs, coach support services, industry awards and sporting initiatives that help develop the individual potential of identified talented sportspeople.
